To showcase the advantages and quality of the igubal FC series, igus has introduced a free sample box, allowing interested parties to evaluate the magnetic detectability and other benefits firsthand. Detecting even the tiniest impurities is crucial for food manufacturers to ensure product reliability and purity. igus has developed the igubal FC series by incorporating detectable and food-compliant additives into its high-performance plastics. The series minimizes the risk of costly recalls as detectors can identify even the smallest parts of the components, easing quality assurance efforts. Additionally, the blue coloration of the materials enhances optical detectability.

igus has expanded its igubal FC series with a new double joint, providing users with greater design freedom in hygiene-sensitive environments. The double joint joins other FC components such as pillow block and fixed flange bearings, rod ends, and clevis joints. Built with the FDA-compliant igumid FC material, these components offer optical and magnetic detectability. The lubrication-free and maintenance-free design, combined with vibration-damping properties and corrosion resistance, makes them suitable for compensating misalignments. Customers can choose from various spherical ball materials based on their specific needs, including FDA-compliant options such as iglidur A181 and 100% detectable iglidur FC180. Stainless-steel versions are available for higher tightening torque requirements.

The box contains samples from the complete product range, allowing customers to experience firsthand pillow block bearings, fixed flange bearings, rod ends, clevis joints, and double joints. These durable spherical bearings have undergone extensive testing in igus’ industry-leading test laboratory, showcasing a long service life and excellent chemical resistance. Compared to conventional stainless-steel bearings, igubal FC offers up to 85% cost savings and requires less maintenance due to its self-lubricating properties.
